Sell your gas station in Indiana

Thinking about selling your Indiana gas station, c-store or truck stop? Find out what it’s worth first. It’s free, it’s confidential, and nobody at the store has to know.

No obligation. You talk to the partners, not a call center.

We work with station owners across Indiana: Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Evansville, South Bend, Lafayette and the I-65, I-69 and I-70 corridors. Indiana sits between two of our core markets, Ohio and Michigan, and our buyers look for Indiana stations often.

Why owners sell with Global Petro Advisors

  • Gas stations and c-stores are what we do. We know fuel supply agreements, brand contracts, tank records and how a buyer’s lender looks at a station.
  • About 1,700 buyers under NDA. Including private-equity groups actively buying stations and c-stores, plus owner-operators and regional chains.
  • Confidential from the first call. No sign, no public address. Buyers sign an NDA and show proof of funds before they see your name or numbers.
  • The partners handle your sale. Stasi Michailidis and Bill Michailidis work your deal personally, from the first number to closing.

Asking isn’t selling: stations sit for months when they’re priced on a guess or shown to the wrong buyers. Start with a real number.

From our daily index of public Indiana gas station and c-store listings on October 19, 2026 (90 with an asking price). Asking prices, not sale prices.

What affects your station’s value

  • Fuel gallons and margin. Volume matters, but cents per gallon matters more. Two stations with the same gallons can be worth very different amounts.
  • Inside sales. Store sales and what’s in them: food, beer and wine, lottery and car wash all add up.
  • Real estate owned or leased. Owned property is valued on its own and added on top. If you lease, the years left matter to the buyer’s lender.
  • Tank age and compliance. Newer, compliant tanks with clean records make lenders comfortable. Old tanks or open issues pull the price down.
  • Brand and supply contract. Years left, gallons owed, whether it can be assigned, and any money due if it ends early.

How it works

  1. A free, confidential valuationA short call or the form below. We look at fuel, inside sales, the property and the contracts, and give you an honest number.
  2. Get ready quietlyWe help gather the paperwork buyers ask for and write a blind profile with no name or address.
  3. Matched buyers under NDAWe take it to qualified buyers on our list. They sign an NDA and show proof of funds first; serious offers come as a Letter of Intent.
  4. Due diligence to closingWe work through the buyer’s lender, your supplier, the landlord and license transfers, then count inventory and hand over the keys.

Questions owners ask

What does it cost to sell my gas station with Global Petro Advisors?
The valuation and the first conversation are free, with no obligation. If you decide to sell with us, we agree the fee in writing before anything is marketed.
Will my employees, customers or fuel supplier find out?
Not from us. There is no sign and no public address, and every buyer signs an NDA and shows proof of funds before they learn the name or see your numbers. Most supply agreements need the supplier's OK to assign, so your supplier is brought in when you decide, usually once you have a signed offer.
How long does it take to sell a gas station?
Six to eight months from listing to closing is a fair average. A well-run station priced right often sees offers in the first month; lender, supplier and license approvals set the pace after that.
Do I have to sell the real estate too?
No. You can sell the business and the property, sell the business and lease the property to the buyer, or keep the land. Each changes the value, and we'll show you how.
What about my alcohol permit and lottery license in Indiana?
Alcohol permits and lottery approvals have to be transferred to the buyer or issued fresh in the buyer's name, through the state and local agencies. We plan that early so it doesn't hold up closing.
What do buyers ask to see?
Two to three years of tax returns and P&Ls, monthly fuel gallons and POS reports, your supply agreement and lease, licenses, and tank and environmental records. If it isn't all together yet, that's fine; we'll help you get it ready.
