How we get to the number

Buyers pay for what a station reliably earns its owner. We estimate the yearly owner’s cash flow from your fuel and inside sales (or use your take-home if you give it), apply the multiple buyers typically pay in our recent valuations, about 2 to 2.5 times, and add the property on top if you own it. Inventory is bought at cost on top of that at closing.

Questions owners ask

How much is my gas station worth?
Usually the owner's yearly cash flow times about 2 to 2.5 in our recent valuations, plus the property if you own it and inventory at cost.
Do fuel gallons determine the value?
Gallons matter, but margin matters more. Two stores with the same gallons can be worth very different amounts.
Is the real estate included in the multiple?
No. The property is valued separately, usually by appraisal, and added to the business value.
How accurate is an online valuation?
It gives a realistic starting range from a few answers. A full valuation uses your tax returns, P&Ls, supplier statements and an appraisal.
Is this confidential?
Yes. Your numbers stay with Global Petro Advisors. Only Stasi and Bill see what you share, and nothing is published or passed on.
